It is starkly evident that there are serious challenges confronting individual practitioners, the overall profession, and ultimately, delivery of services to clients in an increasingly diverse City.

These challenges relate to both the LMSW and the LCSW and are based on hundreds of reports from NASW members and social workers at-large, representing all service delivery systems.

The time is ripe to collectively confront the challenges and frustrations that so many of us have experienced with the licensing law and to take positive action to induce change.

The future of the profession depends on all of us
