This workshop examines Adolescent Stages of Development, their implications for practice and explores strategies for building an Alliance with NON-Conforming Adolescences. The interplay of styles and gender on interventions with dyad, family and group process, as well as perspectives on anger management, will also be addressed.

 

At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

 

                 Understand and appreciate r the transformative process of Adolescences

                 Practice from a Child Centered-Perspective, i.e. be creative and flexible in the application of one’s skills and knowledge about adolescences

                 Use Creative, NON- Verbal and Art based activities to connect with adolescences

 

George Daniels, MSW is the Chief of Program Operations at Community Counseling and Meditation since 2008. He has over 30 years of experience working with at-risk youth and is in charge of supervising all program staff for CCM. Mr. Daniels has been in an executive position for 13 years. He holds a Masters of Social Work Degree from Yeshiva University, and a Post-Graduate Degree from Columbia University's Institute of Non-Profit Management for Jewish Communal Service.
