PACE endorses in Council election
Because of the successful campaign of Tom Duane for New York State Senate, his seat in the NY City Council is available and a special election will be scheduled for January 1999 (as of press time the date had not been announced). After interviews of candidates, NYC PACE is endorsing Christine Quinn for the Third City Council District and urges members who live in that Council District to vote for her. She was Tom Duane's Chief of Staff for five years and his Campaign manager prior to that, as well as having a strong career as a grass roots organizer.
