Call to Action: A Virtual Advocacy Campaign

Social workers are agents of change and at this juncture in our nation's history, our voices are needed more than ever.

During the month of July, the NASW-New York City Chapter, the NASW-New Jersey Chapter, and the NASW-Delaware Chapter have partnered to co-host  a pair of webinars on social work and advocacy which will culminate in two days of virtual action on July 28-29.

Using the tools provided during the two webinars, we'll be asking our members to take some time on July 28 and July 29 to make phone calls to their local, state, and nationally  elected officials to advocate for police reform.

Log Your Calls:

Over the next two days--July 28 and 29--you'll make calls to your elected officials as you're able. We’ve developed a NYC-specific toolkit to help you prepare to make your phone calls. You can access those documents above.

We ask that you log those calls using an online form we've created in Survey Monkey. We'll be collecting all the information from the calls you make, gathering data and telling the story of the remarkable work you've done with your colleagues over the next few days. Log your calls here.

Join us for a campaign recap at the end of each day.

At the end of each day of the campaign, we’ll come together to provide updates, discuss our advocacy efforts, and share our experiences with calling local, state, and federal officials.
