The 13th Annual Leadership Awards Gala is going Virtual!
As many of you know, our 2020 Leadership Awards Gala was directly impacted by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in NYC. NASW-NYC
cares deeply about the health and safety of all of our guests, so the
event has since been rescheduled and revamped as a virtualized gala on
October 8 to ensure that we honor and celebrate you in style.
Your
contributions that were made to attend and sponsor this event have gone
towards supporting the NASW-NYC's advocacy on behalf of the profession
and helps the chapter's racial and social justice efforts continue.
Because
of YOU, NASW-NYC is currently leading the way on racial and social
justice reform through our support of the Racial Equity Bill (S8209
Kennedy /A10319 Peoples-Stokes). In addition, our civic and community
engagement arm, the NASW-NYC CARES initiative has begun to take shape,
our new Building, Organizing, & Leading in Diversity (BOLD)
Committee has launched, and our Continuing Education program continues
to provide professional development and learning opportunities for NYC
social workers.
We
