NASW-NYC is happy to fulfill any special accommodations requests submitted in writing to workshops.naswnyc@socialworkers.org at least two weeks prior to the workshop date. Requests received after the deadline may not be able to be processed or fulfilled in time for the event.

 

Please note that the temperature of the workshop room can vary. While we try our best to maintain a comfortable temperature, please come prepared with appropriate clothing.

 

The kitchen is not available to workshop participants unless a special accommodation request is submitted ahead of time; a water fountain is available. Participants are welcome to eat in the workshop room but are asked to clean up after themselves before leaving the workshop.

 

 

CERTIFICATES/CREDITS

(For continuing education workshops only)

 

As per New York State Continuing Education guidelines, attendees must arrive on time and attend the ENTIRE workshop to receive their Continuing Education Contact Hours.

 

Any attendees who arrive late or leaves early to a workshop will not receive their certificate and is also not eligible for a refund in any way. Please check transportation schedules ahead of time and plan accordingly.

 

We are currently transitioning from providing paper certificates to electronic ones. To receive your certificate of completion, please verify your e-mail is correct in the sign-in sheet, and make sure you sign-in with your time and before you leave, initial-out with your time.

 

Please allow up to 30 calendar days after the workshop date to receive your certificate

 

 

REGISTRATIONS

 

You may register online, through mail/fax (to print out a registration form to mail or fax it in, click here for continuing education workshops; click here for test prep), or in-person onsite (if space is available).

 

Onsite registrations are available for all workshops unless it is closed out. Please note there is limited space and registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Accepted forms of payment: credit card, check, money order, and cash (in-person only). Onsite registrants paying in cash must bring exact change.


 

 

There are no phone registrations at this time.

 

 

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS

 

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to workshops.naswnyc@socialworkers.org no later than five days prior to the workshop date. Refund e-mails must include the subject line "Refund Request" as well as the attendee's name, workshop date and title in the body of the e-mail. If a refund is requested later than five days prior to the workshop date, NASW-NYC has the right to refuse the request.

 

- All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative processing fee

- Refund requests typically take 1-2 weeks processing time

- Refunds ONLY. Credit cannot be issued toward a future program date or substituted for another workshop.

 

For test prep workshops onlyWorkshop manuals and materials will be provided to registrants who attend the workshop. If you miss the workshop, you will not be able to obtain the manual and materials offered through the course.

 

If a workshop is cancelled, registrants will be informed ahead of time and refunded in full.
