NASW-NYC is happy to try and fulfill any special accommodations requests submitted in writing to workshops.naswnyc@socialworkers.org at least fifteen business days prior to the workshop date. Requests received after the deadline may not be able to be processed or fulfilled in time for the event.

 

Please note that the temperature of the workshop room can vary. While we try our best to maintain a comfortable temperature, please come prepared with appropriate clothing.

 

The kitchen is not available to workshop participants unless a special accommodation request is submitted ahead of time; a water fountain is available. Participants are welcome to eat in the workshop room but are asked to clean up after themselves before leaving the workshop.

 

 

NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Please be advised that photography, and audio and video recording of participants at NASW-NYC events may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, and video recording (referred to as the “Recordings”) and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction for promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose reasonably related to the mission of the National Association of Social Workers.

 

You release NASW-NYC, its officers, employees and agents from any liability connected with such use of the Recordings and waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with such use of the Recordings. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by NASW-NYC or the person or entity designated to do so by NASW-NYC.

 

 

CERTIFICATES/CREDITS

(For continuing education workshops only)

 

As per New York State Continuing Education guidelines, attendees must arrive on time and attend the ENTIRE workshop to receive their Continuing Education Contact Hours.

 

Any attendees who arrive late or leaves early to a workshop will not receive their certificate, will not be allowed admittance into the workshop and is also not eligible for a refund in any way.  Please check transportation schedules ahead of time and plan accordingly.

 

We are currently transitioning from providing paper certificates to electronic ones.  Please ensure that your registration information is accurate (name, e-mail, license type and number) as this will impact your continuing education certificates.  NASW-NYC is not responsible for the accuracy of your registration information. To receive your certificate of completion, on the workshop date, please sign-in with your time and before you leave, sign-out with your time.

 

Certificates will be e-mailed within 30 calendar days after workshop evaluations have been completed.

 

 

LICENSING TEST PREP GUIDES

(For test prep workshops only)

 

Registrants will only receive the exam guide that matches the test prep workshop they registered for.

 

Registrants who miss their test prep workshop will not be able to obtain the exam guide and any other materials offered through the course.

 


REGISTRATIONS

 

You may register online, through e-mail/mail/fax (print out the below registration form to mail or fax it in), or in-person onsite (if space is available).

 

Onsite registrations are available for all workshops unless otherwise indicated. Please note there is limited space and registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.


Accepted forms of payment: credit card, check, money order, and cash (in-person only). Onsite registrants paying in cash must bring exact change.

 

NASW-NYC is not responsible for the accuracy of your registration information. Please ensure all information is correct before completing.


 

 

There are no phone registrations at this time.

 

 

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS

 

Continuing Education Workshops: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to accounting.naswnyc@socialworkers.org no later than three business days prior to the workshop date. Refund e-mails must include the subject line "Refund Request" as well as the attendee's name, workshop date and title in the body of the e-mail. If a refund is requested later than three business days prior to the workshop date, NASW-NYC has the right to refuse the request.

 

- All refunds are subject to an administrative processing fee of:

- $20.00 for in-person workshops

  - 30% of the total paid for webinars

- Refund requests typically take 1-2 weeks processing time

- Refunds ONLY. Credit cannot be issued toward a future program date or substituted for another workshop.

 

In-Person Test Prep Workshops: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to accounting.naswnyc@socialworkers.org no later than three business days  prior to the workshop date. Refund e-mails must include the subject line "Refund Request" as well as the  attendee's name, workshop date and title in the body of the e-mail. If a refund is requested later than three business days prior  to the workshop date, NASW-NYC has the right to refuse the request.

Online Test Prep Workshops: All refund requests must be submitted in writing to accounting.naswnyc@socialworkers.org no later than the test prep registration deadline date listed on the registration page. Refund e-mails must include the  subject line "Refund Request" as well as the attendee's name, workshop date and title  in the body of the e-mail. If a refund is requested after the test prep registration deadline date listed on the registration page, NASW-NYC has the right to refuse the request.

 

- All refunds are subject to a 30% of the total paid, administrative processing fee

- Refund requests typically take 1-2 weeks processing time

- Refunds ONLY. Credit cannot be issued toward a future program date or substituted for another workshop.

 

Test Prep manuals and materials will be provided to registrants who attend the workshop. If you miss the workshop, you will not be able to obtain the manual and materials offered through the course.

 

 

 

If any workshop is cancelled, registrants will be informed ahead of time and refunded in full.
