The Addictions Committee has another exciting presentation on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
"Psychodrama and Action techniques to Enhance Our Work with Clients."
Jacob Gershoni, LCSW, CGP, TEP
Co-Director, The Psychodrama Training Institute

Group psychotherapy is a valued, effective and economical
in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders.

Psychodrama and Sociometry are creative and innovative techniques
to bolster social work practice, enhancing our abilities in meeting the many challenges
encountered in treating individuals with substance use disorders.
This presentation will include a demonstration of techniques aimed at changes
in the emotional, cognitive and behavioral levels.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone. Invite someone.
As always, registration and RSVPs are not required. 2.0 CASAC hours will be awarded to all attendees. SW CEs and LMHC hours are not given.
Also, we would like to bring to your attention the Chapter's Call to Action. Assembly Member Luis Sepulveda has introduced the Racial Equity Bill (AB 5851) that proposes the addition of a Racial Equity Impact Assessment (REIA) Committee to evaluate the potential harm and ensure fiscal and environmental protections in the face of limited resources. This assessment can be a vital tool for preventing institutional racism and for identifying new options to remedy long-standing inequities.
We call upon you to contact your Assembly Member to support establishing this Legislative Committee. When you do remember to introduce yourself as a constituent, reference bill AB.5851, and its intent. Finally, don't forget to ask your member to join as a co-sponsor of the legislation immediately!
