With high divorce rates, couples face some of the most difficult challenges to relationship stability ever experienced. More than ever, couples need skills and tools to replace conflict with safety and compassion, and to shift from antagonism to openness and empathy. This workshop will offer the basic theory of Imago Relationship Therapy as well as additional integration of Systemic and Psychodynamic approaches. Participants will look at the unconscious process that affects partner selection and how conflict stemming from childhood wounds is built into the very fabric of our relationships. With this understanding, the workshop will demonstrate how to transform frustrations into vehicles for growth and healing. Participants will learn how to use Imago's Intentional Dialogue to help partners understand their issues and change their relationship dynamics. At the end of the workshop participants will come away with a road map along with practical handouts that can be applied immediately to their practice.

Carole Gladstone-Ramos, LCSW, CASAC, has a private practice in NYC. She is a Certified Imago Couples Therapist, a Certified EMDR Therapist, and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Practitioner. .
