Do you feel like you are entering uncharted territory when it comes to talking about race, power, privilege, or oppression? Are you afraid of how others may respond to discussing these challenging topics? This workshop will help professionals learn to respond skillfully and sensitively to approach topics concerning race, power, privilege, and oppression. Workshop attendees will also learn strategies to deal with the emotional responses these topics may provoke.
These issues will be examined in a variety of organizational contexts. This will be an experiential workshop.
Linda Lausell Bryant, MSW, Ph.D
Mohan Vinjamuri, MSW, Ph.D
Both presenters are full time professors of social work at NYU and Lehman College respectively. They have co-authored a book on this topic.
