Hello to all-
Our next meeting of the Disaster Trauma Committee, NASW-NYC, will take place on Zoom, this Friday, May 22, 9 to 11 am. We will continue our conversation of social work during pandemic, extending the rich, moving discussions unfolding at the last two meetings. Going forward, the committee will meet by Zoom every three weeks. Please join as we consider together, among a community of supportive colleagues, various elements of the unfolding COVID-19 context and its cumulative impact, including implications of emerging health discoveries, community engagement in the midst of collective trauma and loss, complex, nuanced issues of loss and mourning, and new questions about the time frame evolving before us regarding our work, our settings, and our professional future. Please RSVP to me at mgmiller96@aol.com to receive details on how to join our meeting via Zoom. Thank you, and sending my best-
Madelyn Miller, PhD, LCSW, chairperson. mgmiller96@aol.com.
