Should Social Workers Organize?
The NASW-NYC Chapter invites you to join us for a Roundtable Discussion in partnership with the United Front for Social Workers which will focus on raising the question of organizing our profession beyond having a collective bargaining unit that is tied to our employment.
Moderated by Benjamin Sher, former NASW-NYC Board President and Director of the Office of Global and Lifelong Learning at the NYU Silver School of Social Work, the event, as part of NASW-NYC CARES, the community & civic engagement initiative of the chapter, will also be joined by Nancy Wackstein, Director of Community Engagement & Partnerships at Fordham University- Graduate School of Social Service and members of the United Front for Social Workers team including Leona Parks, LMSW, Shantel Mayris, MSW, Kimesha McDonald, MSW, and Joel Hilgado, MSW.
