Hello dear colleagues, all good wishes in this new year for health, safety, and strength- especially at this moment.
I send this note to mention the Disaster Trauma Committee will meet this Friday, January 15, 9 to 11 am, via zoom. Please feel welcome to join conversation on the emerging realities occurring in front of our eyes this past week, and what evolves in the week to come, as we find support with each other at this difficult time.
We stepped into the new year with hopes of finding a better experience, of inching closer to a new administration seriously approaching COVID, conscientiously facing racial inequities and injustice. Thus far, we’ve witnessed the incitement of insurrection, a double standard of justice, and several who have died in this domestic terrorism, with grave concerns for future violence. All of us are profoundly affected.
