This semi-formal interactive presentation on entrepreneurship in private practice will discuss some of the hottest topics when it comes to running your own private practice. The presenter will cover why you go into private practice, credentialing, insurance, billing, advertising and much more. Participants should be prepared to ask thoughtful questions about private practice and anticipate having contemplative dialogue.

 

 

With this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Whether or not they are ready to enter private practice
  • Have knowledge of credentialing and billing practices
  • Have a beginning understanding of the complexities of insurance
  • Possess a sound knowledge of what to expect from private practice

 

 

 

Please note: This is not a continuing education workshop and this workshop will not provide any continuing education credits.

 

 

 

 

Karen Landmann, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in Manhattan. She has been in the field for 26 years. Her clientele consists primarily of persons dealing with trauma and chronic illness and come from a variety of ethnic and cultural origins. Ms. Landmann focuses on the aspect of Abusive Traumatic Bonding™ (a term that she herself coined) in intimate partner relationships.

 

She has presented on Abusive Traumatic Bonding™ at NYU Silver School of Social Work Office of Global and Lifelong Learning and has keynote conference presentations under her belt, as well as numerous peer-reviewed publications.
