The NASW-NYC Test Prep includes:

    • A full copy of the electronic exam guide for your exam category from Springer Publishing (includes material for the ASWB exam blueprint)
    • Test-taking tips and strategies to foster exam confidence
    • A practice test (with explanations of correct answers) that mirrors the exam
    • Ability to build a customized study plan
    • Flashcards and other study tools
    • A discussion board with full access to the author and your peers who are also studying for the exam
    • Online learning community where you can connect virtually with your peers who are also studying for the exam

Dawn Hall Apgar, PhD, LSW, ACSW has helped thousands of social workers across the country prepare for the examinations associated with all levels of licensure. In recent years, she has consulted with numerous NASW Chapters to assist them with establishing their own licensure test preparation programs, including training the instructors.

 

Dr. Apgar has done research on licensure funded by the American Foundation for Research and Consumer Education in Social Work Regulation and is currently chairperson of her state’s social work licensing board. She is a past President of the New Jersey Chapter of NASW and has been on its National Board of Directors. In 2014, the Chapter presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Apgar has taught in both undergraduate and graduate social work programs and has extensive direct practice, policy, and management experience in the social work field.

 

 

 

 


 

*Registrants will only receive the exam guide that matches the test prep workshop they registered for. The books will ship after registration has been closed and will take about 8-10 business days to reach attendees. The study exam guide will ship to U.S. residents only. Once exam guides have been delivered (as noted by the delivery tracking information), NASW-NYC takes no responsibility for delivery issues outside of our control and will take no action on exam guides after the delivered time.

NASW-NYC is happy to try and fulfill any special accommodations requests submitted in writing to workshops.naswnyc@socialworkers.org at least fifteen business days prior to the workshop date. Requests received after the deadline may not be able to be processed or fulfilled in time for the event.

 

 

NASW-NYC Refund Policy

 

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to accounting.naswnyc@socialworkers.org no later than the test prep registration deadline date listed on the registration page. Refund e-mails must include the  subject line "Refund Request" as well as the attendee's name, workshop date and title  in the body of the e-mail. If a refund is requested after the test prep registration deadline date listed on the registration page, NASW-NYC has the right to refuse the request.

- All refunds are subject to a fee of 25% for administrative processing fees

- Refund requests typically take 1-2 weeks processing time

- Refunds ONLY. Credit cannot be issued toward a future program date or substituted for another workshop.

 

If the workshop is cancelled, you will be informed ahead of time and fully refunded.
