The presentation will review the harm reduction model, its history and its current trend, as well as how to implement clinical interventions with a harm reduction lens. This workshop will help clinicians be able to see the whole scope of what is involved in working with an individual with substance use disorder or co-occurring disorders. From the decoration of your office or space, to body language and verbal language being used. The attendees will learn the different substances that exist so they can understand their clients better and understand the effects of the drugs their client's take in order to help them more effectively and appropriately in their clinical interventions.
