The meeting will focus on a variety of issues related to the unfolding Ebola realities and accompanying concerns. These include considering our social work roles in this context; the significance of accurate information consistently accessible to all communities across the city; considering public education; incorporating a public health perspective; promoting principles of Psychological First Aid; and a historical look at parallel contexts. Please join the conversation. We will have an opportunity to discuss our own reactions, those of clients and communities with whom we work, and consideration for empathic practice in our community engagements and clinical roles.
