NASW-NYC Chapter office, 50 Broadway 1001, New York, NY 10004.

Saturday, February 21, 2015, 10am-5pm

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is accepted as THE evidenced-based approach to Borderline Personality Disorder. However, its four modules – 1) Mindfulness, 2) Interpersonal Effectiveness, 3) Distress Tolerance and 4) Emotion Regulation – offer effective strategies for managing symptoms related to affect regulation across the diagnostic spectrum. Participants will learn to select and apply appropriate interventions from all four DBT modules applied to a variety of case studies where moderation or reduction of negative affect is an important clinical goal.
