This course will provide Social Workers who seek to work in the non-profit sector, the ability to create a strategic plan for fundraising for your organization. It will cover the 3 categories of donors and why a mix is critical to a financially healthy organization. The session will explain how social workers can create a strategic plan to set your organizations fundraising goals in each sector. Prospect strategy development, cultivation will also be reviewed. The instructor will cover “Making the ask,” closing, and acknowledgement. The workshop will also review the importance of recognition and continuing stewardship as well as reporting, and evaluation. Lastly, how your Board of Directors can be your most important asset in fundraising will be discussed.
