Part II
A followup to the workshop “Brief Intervention with Problem Drinking” offering Motivational Interviewing and some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies to use with problem drinkers, this workshop will offer additional CBT strategies to apply when conducting brief treatment.
This workshop will provide more real-life case examples, highlighting problem drinking cases which are often prescribed levels of care that are too high and ultimately unhelpful to clients. It will also provide a number of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, as well as discussion around the utility of incorporating mobile technology (i.e., phone apps) into treatment.
Kaerensa Craft is a psychotherapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in Manhattan and Bronxville, NY. Ms. Craft specializes in the treatment of: Alcohol and Substance Use Problems, Relationship Problems, Interpersonal Difficulties, and Depression and Anxiety.
