Mission Statement:

The NASW-NYC Building, Organizing, & Leading in Diversity (B.O.L.D.) Committee is a collective of trauma-informed Black, Brown, and allied social workers dedicated to building power for themselves and within their communities. With a purpose to facilitate, train, and organize locally, the NASW-NYC B.O.L.D. Committee mission is to build a world where all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color bodies are powerful and equal. The NASW-NYC B.O.L.D. committee was created to create an inspirational and accountable space where social work leaders and students engage in bold conversations around social and racial injustice, in and outside of the profession.

The NASW-NYC B.O.L.D. talks are held on the third Wednesday of every other month and were created to highlight the NASW Code of Ethics principle of social justice and the importance of social workers advancing the human rights and dignity of all people
