| The NASW-NYC/NYS Pride Series |
|
The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) affirms that sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are valid and essential aspects of human identity. These identities deserve respect, affirmation, and protection—principles that are deeply rooted in the NASW Code of Ethics.
In support of our LGBTQIA2S+ members and the communities they serve, the NASW-NYS/NYC Chapter is proud to announce the 2025 Pride Series—a dynamic slate of community engagement events designed to empower, inform, and connect social workers. These events will offer vital resources, insights from leading social work professionals, and meaningful opportunities for connection with leaders and organizations advancing LGBTQ+ equity and support.
As we navigate a landscape increasingly shaped by legislation affecting LGBTQIA2S+ rights, our chapter remains committed to standing with and for the community. The Pride Series aims to be a beacon of support, ensuring that social workers have the tools and solidarity they need to continue their critical work during these challenging times.
